Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains how Arcane Wizards Ltd ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") handles refunds, cancellations, and paid access for Arcane software, licenses, subscriptions, upgrades, renewals, and other digital products purchased from us.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our End User License Agreement.
Try Arcane Before Paying
Before purchasing a paid license, you can download and use free versions of our software. These free versions are not time-limited trials; they include usage limitations so you can evaluate the software, confirm that it works in your environment, and decide whether the paid features are suitable for your needs before making a purchase.
Because this evaluation option is available before payment, paid licenses are not intended to operate as trial purchases. You are responsible for checking compatibility, functionality, workflow fit, and the published limitations of the free and paid versions before buying.
General Refund Position
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all payments are final and non-refundable once paid access, a license key, a subscription, a renewal, an upgrade, or a digital download has been made available to you.
We do not normally provide refunds for change of mind, accidental purchase, failure to use the software, lack of need, failure to evaluate the free limited-use version before purchasing, incompatibility that could reasonably have been checked using the free version, or a decision to stop using the software during a paid billing period.
Digital Content and Immediate Access
Arcane software and license access are digital content. Where you are a consumer with a statutory cooling-off or cancellation right, and you ask us to provide immediate access to paid digital content, downloads, license keys, or paid software functionality, you agree that we may begin supplying that digital content immediately. Where applicable law permits, you acknowledge that doing so may cause you to lose any statutory right to cancel for convenience after supply has started.
If a checkout flow asks you to confirm immediate access or acknowledge the effect on cancellation rights, you must only continue if you understand and agree to that confirmation.
EU/EEA and UK Consumer Withdrawal Right
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, and your purchase is completed through Paddle as merchant of record, you may have the right to withdraw from the relevant purchase for any reason within 14 days of completing the transaction, in accordance with Paddle's buyer terms and refund policy.
If you validly exercise this withdrawal right within that 14-day period, you will receive a full refund of the relevant charges you paid, unless during that period you started downloading, streaming, using, or benefiting from the product after agreeing during checkout that the product would be made available to you before the end of the 14-day period.
Subscriptions and Renewals
If you purchase a subscription, you may cancel future renewals through the account or billing tools we make available, or by contacting us. A cancellation stops future billing but does not normally refund fees already charged for the current billing period, except where required by law or expressly agreed by us in writing.
You are responsible for cancelling before your next renewal date if you do not want the subscription to renew.
When We May Provide a Refund
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer law. If the software or digital content you purchased is faulty, not as described, not supplied, or otherwise gives you a legal right to a remedy, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, that remedy may include help resolving the issue, repair, replacement, continued access, a price reduction, or a refund.
We may also choose, at our sole discretion, to provide a refund or credit in exceptional circumstances. Any discretionary refund does not create an obligation to provide the same outcome in any other case.
Refund Requests
To request a refund or report an issue with paid digital content, please contact us at info@arcanewizards.com with:
- the email address used for the purchase;
- the order number, invoice number, or transaction reference;
- the product, license, subscription, or renewal affected;
- a clear description of the issue; and
- any steps you have already taken to resolve it.
We may ask for reasonable information to verify the purchase and assess whether a refund or other remedy is required.
How Approved Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through our payment processor or merchant of record. We cannot guarantee that a refund can be sent to a different card, account, or destination.
Once issued, refund timing depends on the payment method, payment processor, card network, bank, and any merchant-of-record requirements. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds visible in your account.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there has been an error, please contact us before opening a chargeback or payment dispute. This gives us the chance to investigate the issue, provide support, and process any refund or correction that is required.
Third-Party Terms
If your purchase is processed by a third-party store, marketplace, payment provider, or merchant of record, additional refund procedures or restrictions may apply through that provider. This policy applies to the extent we are able to control or approve the refund.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version posted on our website at the time of your purchase will normally apply to that purchase, unless a later version is required by law or is more favorable to you.
